Where creativity flickers and paint brings it to life
Welcome to Ember and Paint

Hi and welcome—I’m so glad you’re here.
This blog is part of my creative space where I share original artwork, small-format pieces, and updates on what’s currently available in my shop. I’ll also be posting news about ongoing eBay sales, especially for my ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions and Originals), so if you enjoy collecting miniature art, you’re in the right place.

I’m an artist based near Austin, Texas, but I’ve spent time in a few very different places along the way—Traving around the US and Europe in RVs, the Big Island of Hawaii, and Australia. Each of those experiences has shaped how I see the world, and that variety tends to show up in my work.
My art doesn’t stick to one subject or style. I work with acrylic, watercolor, pen, and ink, and I tend to follow whatever inspires me in the moment. That might mean abstract landscapes one day, and foxes, dragons, or lighthouses the next. Sometimes it’s detailed patterns or simple abstract art—each piece starts with a small spark and grows from there.
Most of what I create is small format, especially ACEOs. I enjoy working on a smaller scale—it allows me to experiment, explore different ideas, and create pieces that feel personal and completable within a shorter time period.
Outside of art, I work in a mix of finance and IT, and I’m also a single mom. Creating art is something I fit into the spaces in between—it’s both a creative outlet and meditative between the chaos.
Here on the Ember and Paint blog, you can expect:
Updates on new artwork and shop listings
Announcements for eBay auctions
Sales announcements
Occasional behind-the-scenes thoughts and inspiration
Whether you’re here to collect, browse, or just see what I’m working on, I appreciate you stopping by.
Thanks for being part of Ember and Paint.
